Touche (with an accent over the E), but if you've been reading my comments in the General Discussion section you know I'd give just about anything to have a female companion. One as lovely as you would be the stuff of devine dreams. You can't tell a car that you love it and hear it say the same back, and you certainly can't cuddle up with it on the couch.

Im sure you could easily pick up a nice woman, are you going out and looking in the right places? How long has it been since your last relationship?

I wish, but it's pretty much hopeless unless I pay someone to go out with me, and I'm not about to do that because it would just all be so fake.

MartinaWarren wrote:

I don't know how to answer that. One person's 'right places' may not be so for another person.

If you don't count getting used for a couple years then I've never had a real relationship.

Hey Martina!

Time for some more car talk! Razz

Take a look at the upcoming Audi
http://www.channel4.com/4car/feature/concept-cars/audipikespeakquattro-2241/audipikespeakquattro-2241.html

4x4 are very popular in Europe. Plus Audi wants to make a competitor to the BMW X5. Has anyone here driven an Audi Question

Another Suburban Assault Vehicle eh ?

The worst drivers on the road here drive SUVs and MPVs because they think that in a bigger car they will be safe in an accident. In reality they roll over more frequently especially in high speed accidents and cause more deaths than normal cars. Plus they use a lot of petrol Sad Sad Sad But then the false sense of security is what sells the cars.

Sorry Satch you have touched on one of my pet hates Evil or Very Mad

BTW I heard in France they were planning a law banning SUVs from city centres. Anyone know what happened ???

Oh I agree with you Marcus. I think it's just another trend.
They tried to ban SUV here in cities too, since they give lots of trouble.
Nijmegen was the first city to try it, but the law didn't pass.
It was more meant against the huge cars like the Hummers and stuff. Shocked

The BMW X5 isn't such a huge car. Since Martina mentioned it and I saw an article in a magazine about the new Audi I thought it was fun to discuss it here. Wink

Marcus is right about the gass usage. They use a lot more gass then regular cars, plus you need to pay a lot more tax in our country since they also weigh much more then regular cars. Idea

Looking at cars is fun though. As they say: the possession of the object is most of the time the end of the pleasure. Tongue

Yeah it maakes a lot more sense in the US - Lots of space and petrol is cheaper. i just filled my car up here and petrol is 86.9 p/litre. Some quick math:

1 gallon=4.55 litres

86.9 x 4.55 = £3.96 per gallon

At todays exchange rate of 1GBP=1.87USD that comes to $7.40/gallon Shocked

Now who in their right mind would drive a Hummer in the UK ? Confused

>> Dodge Viper SRT-10
>> Lamborghini Diablo
>> Aston Martin DB9
>> Jaguar XKR
>> Ford GT

Nice. But all I can think / dream about these days is the Austin Martin DB9. Does anyone see the BBC show Top Gear? They had that car driving from London (or so) to Marseille (France). The other 2 presenters took public transportation. The DB9 beat them. It was an awesome sight. They also did this with a Ferrari 712 (the oh so kind four seat for the whole family!). Again, the car won, by 100 meters Very Happy

Yesterday there was a rerun show, with the Austin Martin Vanguage (shit, not sure if I spelled that right), and the Ferrari 575. They burned tons of rubber on the circuit.... awesome.

I went to the auto show here in Vancouver yesterday and got to see a DB9 up close. Well, from a few feet away because it was roped off with a Carrera GT to the right of it and a Continental GT to the left. All superb looking cars. The Ferrari F430 stole my heart though. It was the only car I just had to go back for a second look at before I left. Cool

Could be. But I loved those 2 guys sitting in the back of that bus going up the mountain, anxiously looking over their shoulder, almost hearing the Ferrari V12 engine hum (excuse me, ROAR) Twisted Evil

Marcus, it wasn't the Vantage. Cuz I remembered just now that there was a V12 engine in it, just like in the Ferrari. So it must have been the Vanquish. Thanks Wildcard for your great site!
