|
|
Hey guys, just thought to keep posting so you all know I am still active. Anyways, on the update for today, there was a question whether or not to make another halloween comic, or a christmas one. Although it would be funny to have another Halloween story, I think it would be much more suited to go with a Christmas story, just to mix it up, since we not yet have a comic under such a theme (Although we get plenty of pictures on the matter). I guess the best thing to do now is make a poll, and you can respond as to why you believe that one should be picked over the other.

I like the concept of Christmas in July; during the heat you want it to be cold so I vote for Christmas. |

Cristmas is a much a traditional time for ghost stories as Halloween in Britain, A Christmas Carol, ect.
I vote for Christmas. |

| Makes me wonder, will Ms. Santato make the special, or will M-Lock take up that reign? |

New Years!
Well, I dunno. Did they ever do New Years?
I saw the Christmas ones, and the Alice one.
Oh, are they Royal member comics? |

| I would say a Christmas comic, so that work could be started in advance. I think a 12 page comic would be nice, to do a "12 Days of Christmas" sort of thing. Every day, a new page would be added. |

Well- a couple of things. This would be nice but in a practical sense, this can't be done.
#1. Updates need to be spread out over time. Website does not make enough money to do a new page everyday back to back like that. Pages take time to produce obviously.
#2. Piracy kills and hurts us really hard, and something like that posted all at once just makes it way too easy for somebody to take a fresh new book and post it all over.
Having pages spread over time, gets people to join and stick around, and even if people get a hold of partial issues, like a tv show- people tune in live to get the latest updates.
We really hate the pirates and the disloyal members who have memberships who are posting our pages on other sites. |

What about an outside-the-box work?
A single large image that gets added to in bits over time.
Or an X-ray type image.
Perhaps a 2 part image that only members can see in 1 piece and complicate piracy? (yeah, I know, they will over come).
BTW, Ronald, I want to say it WAS piracy that got me in here. I found pirated copies of PBB, and that made me aware of PBB and sign up, but yes, not everyone will sign up like I did. |

Although I'm not a big fan of the painful month it takes to get extended access, perhaps there could be some expansion on that front? Say, 4 tiers of membership/access.
New Arrival: Most basic access
Peeping Tom: (1-Month) Somewhat extended privileges
Familiar Face: (3-Months) Most of the content unlocked
Royal Member: (6-Months) Full access
Separating the levels of access and how long it takes to get access to content as its released may be a way to help slow the piracy down, but I understand that this method could also backfire and keep more people going to the pirates for the material than the actual site. |
