Vanessa Appreciation Thread!

I just have to say- that Vanessa is truely a master of story telling.

For the majority of the time, when I read each page each week, she really creates a sense of cliffhanger/suspense, where you just can't wait to read the next page.

It's like a good tv show, where each week you get that omg that was great, or omg, I can't wait for next week's new page!

Let's all give her a big cheer. *clap* *clap*

I truly agree! Is like a TV show that you want to watch it again and again every week and that you can't wait to see the new episode! :D

I adore the smallest detail work Ms. Vanessa had done. From a big mansion to a smallest peck of dust, Ms. Vanessa out did herself and should be proud of how amazing her art skill had improved throughout her life!

if it wasnt for the fact my membership ran out i be reading this over and over again... god shes good.. now i know why my sister reads love storys. this one always gets me biting my nails waiting for the next page... i also love the art work... i wish i could get that good soon XD

Vanessa you are a excellent artist and like 45 i hope to be able to mimic your style of drawing one day. becoming a paying member is one of the best investments i made not just for the x rated material but for how you tell the story and make your artwork just come to life like you do. i can honestly say ill stay a member for a long time. :)

Its a breath of fresh air to see such a revolutionary work of art that has a story. Miss Vanessa, while among the first female comic writers that I can recognize (Don't know any others), shows that anyone who puts their heart in something can make something as great as this.

Yes, a romance novelist who draws out her stories!
(I wonder if Mary was reading her books? ;) ;) )

Rumiko Takahashi is another female writer I could compare to Vanessa.
While Takahashi-san is not explicit, there is a lot of strong romantic undercurrents and sexy situations.
Her famous works include Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, and just finished Inu-Yasha, (yes, extremely prolific) and may be the richest woman in Japan right now. :)

So I'm appreciating it even more, you've been so kind!
Wow, I didn't think I'd make it... in the beginning, many years ago, I was skeptic in doing an adult comic, I was leaning more towards comedy. I said: ok, let's try putting comedy and romanticism in a porn comic, maybe this way I'll feel more at ease... but will the readers like it? Won't they grow bored and ask "Where's the sex??? When does the story end and they resume fucking???" and leave? :? Because usually a comic paysite has porn as the base, else there's no reason to pay, or so they say.
Well, then again it's also true that there's tons of free porn online!! If someone wants he can find all the free porn he wants!
So I told myself: "So the Delight Castle is a gambling place? Well, I'll be a gambler myself and bet all I got on the story, the characterization of the characters and the background."
And today my number finally came out. :D It's this topic, your affection and your sincere participation. Thanks for choosing the originality, you've been brave yourselves too!

Picasso said "good artists borrow, great artist steal", but why steal when you already have an original style? :)

I think I've said it plenty of times before, but you really are an amazing artist, Vanessa. The way you draw and color the characters is brilliant, and the story you've created is excellent. I think that the amount of threads and posts dedicated to discussing all aspects of the comic is a testament to how much people are really enjoying your work. The story have people guessing at what might happen next and what are the reasons behind the characters' actions. It's very nice to be able to follow the story progressing and being able to discuss it with others. That's actually one of the main reasons why I joined in the beginning. That I could talk to others about your work, and to you too.

Another reason was to have my avatar drawn, and that's another area that really needs to be mentioned. Like many others have said, it's amazing how well you can draw people's avatars based on their descriptions. You really make them seem perfect, and you give them, your own personal touch, making them fit in nicely with all the other characters of PBB. It's really great to see you use people's fursonas in the comic as well, so they aren't just a profile page of the Four Aces suite, but actually seem part of the PBB world.

The story is great, the humour is great, the characters are great, your artwork is great, and you do draw some great sex scenes too. I've seen you say that you don't think you're any good at it, but I personally think that you draw some really erotic scenes and pictures.
