as a movie, and video game nerd, i feel that i must point out that there are rarely any sequels that make a movie series great. or shall i remind everyone of street fighter? is that what you want? I'LL DO IT!!!! I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL!!! terminator 2 was better than the first, but then they had to do number 3. remember that? or spiderman? the second hulk was better than the first. just remember adept, this is a sequal to a pile of cherry pop-tarts. and no one likes those ones

It's not a real movie... not yet. The guy who did it WANTS to make a movie, so he put this together to drum up support for the production. If you notice, unlike normal trailers, there's no studio stamp...

My opinion, let the guy make his movie... but TAKE AWAY the Mortal Kombat references. Games do NOT make good movies. ESPECIALLY fighting games.

Trying to transition interactive media to NON interactive media is a mixed bag, at best. Fighting games are essentially a bunch of people beating the shit out of each other. You can try to convert that to a definative narrative, but the fans will always bitch cuz all they want is a bunch of people beating the shit out of each other.

It's a no-win situation.

Personaly, compared to the last two movies this one achualy look brutal rather than shleping around the PG-13 rateing. Althou it has refrain from the mysical asian kunfu style of the game, this trailer has perked my interest with its gritty, grimey, savage, leaning more on realistic with some hints of fantasical. Thou it does make me wonder how they are going to protray the other charicters that the trailer didnt show and what charicters they are going to cut off from the line up?

Being a kid at the time of its release, it was really interesting. I just find it now to be one of those movies that should just stay on the shelf, just so I can say I have it.

The new Karate Kid movie was a pretty good remake though if you ever watch it.

the first motal kombat had awesome fight scenes, and an amazing story line, but dont forget johnny cage's lines. like when goro was hanging from the cliff and then cage used his movie line "this the part where you fall down" if you dont think thats cheesy then all hope for you is lost

i dont know can't say im a fan of mortal kombat the only people i can truely remeber is i think his name is scorpion and sub zero

to be fair this trailer looked ok but not omg i got to see this i dout very much if this becomes a movie i will watch it

Random word in, best movie based off a game i think: Resident Evil

Trailer wise, I kinda gotta say ewz on ways of mortal kombat. Trying to put the characters in ways of the modern world they look kinda disgusting.

it's like the surper mario bros movie the people who made that must be fucking blind or they have never played a mario game before i meen when has a goomba ever looked like a fucked up dinosaur on striods and when has bowser ever been HUMAN

there are a lot of movies out there that look good, but then you watch it again, and you opinion changes drastically. like when i saw the dragonball movie. the previews looked awesome, but then i saw the actual movie. now i've seen some bad movies in my time, like blood sport or half past dead, but this movie was an abomonation of mans creations. the frankenstein monster. i couldnt tolerate this movie if you paid me. thats why i put my copy of the movie in the microwave
