Edelweiss is right to act like that in the fifth page. In my country, it's only really recent that orphanage treat well the kids under their watch. At this epoch they were usually overpopulated and underfunded for the task they were asked to do. The childrens often paid the price of this mistakes. This was also why almost anyone could enter, ask for a kid and have their wish granted. This place just couldn't manage to keep them. Edelweiss could probably got her without too much trouble. She seems to be rich enough to bribe her way to adoption. Begging seem so much useless. Anyway, I am curious to know about the previous time(s). I feel that Simon Blue and Edelweiss history seems deeper that I first thought. Why before he couldn't turn a blind eye?

Ok, looking at the new page, I couldn't help but start to get some thinking going.

Many have assumed that Edelweiss and Simon were lovers, but I have started to come up with my own ideas. Perhaps it's just me, but there seem to be some similar features between the two that lead me to believe that there relationship may be brother/sister. Though the cruelty seems harsh for siblings, perhaps some long-standing resentment over events growing up are responsible.

Still, anything is speculation until written into truth by Vanessa.

BUt what does Edelweis meain by again? And why does Simon want that Edelweis leave bonbon, while he has her in his pocket?

And what is there all about that secret society were Red and Simon are part of it?

Is this society like the USA SKULL AND BONE group of 800 members and were the Bush family is part of it?

Hehe, this page has some very interesting information!

I have to hand it to you Miss Vanessa, the secrets that could be revealed could be anything at this point!

And if I'm wrong correct me but based on this page I have come to think that Edelweiss isn't actually Mary's mother. However the deal that Simon is proposing to her has provably something to do with why Simon's wife isn't around anymore!

Either it turns out, I can't express how impressed I am with Miss Vanessa's amazing story writing skills. Please keep up the amazing work, I can;t wait to see what happens! :D :D :D

I reread the whole flashback and noticed something. Simon Blue was already working on Betty's family drama. He was taking his responsibilities even if the fact that he needed an authorization from the high members of the clan of the talon show that he lack of leadership or that he has a very short leash among this powerful organization.

He exchanges a favor against an another but this is not like he blackmails her or something like that. He acts like a businessman this is what he are and this is how should Edelweiss should have expected their deal. He doesn't show any generosity but he isn't outright evil (but this doesn't make him less dangerous.).

True he threaten Edelweiss with the first law but she asking for a favor and dare strike him with his past. Nobody like to be show his past mistakes, Simon is just more extreme. He deserves some punishment for all the things he did but I don't wish him to burn in hell forever.

Il lui faut une punition plus adapté à ces crimes.

There's something that I want to know:

What does Edelweiss meant, "Again?" Was she banished before? Does the first time related to the Champagne twin sister?

And what is the "trade?" A life for a child in exchange for....what? Her exile from BonBon? Or there's an addition to her exile?

And are we taking a break from the past and back to the present of 1895 or that is all we're going to get right now?

I have a doubt about that. Betty is giving him false hope. I think that he will do the same thing that at the party. He will give up what is within his reach (in this case this is his new secretary) to chase Betty. At the end, Betty is only a tease because she is heart-broken. Ronald doesn't know that and will probably think that is tenacity finally pay off and that she finally give him a chance. Betty had no real feeling for anyone except Red so at the end, Ronald will have the heart broken too. Hans and George were just a distraction to kill the pain of Red revelation. Ronald will be an another try to keep Betty mind away from Red. Misery love company. Soon, a lot of persons will be down if nothing happen.
