What not to do when your a furry looking for a mate

I came by this nice story and although it's a few months old I decided I'd post it any way since it affects Furry communities,individuals,and certainly adds fuel to the Furry hate groups out there.

Meh... Shit like this happens all the time outside of the furry community, you don't need a fursuit to be an internet perv. Just watch "To Catch a Predator" some time... Besides, I've never paid much attention to furry hate groups anyway...

[Edit]Taking a second look at that article, it's actually a couple months old. I think if anti-furries were going to use this as some sort of ammunition, they would have used it by now.

First and foremost I've lived or have been in places in the world where parents would often give their children away to pay off debts.And to clarify here I mean children that range from 4-12 years old.

Secondly,if your not familiar with hate groups they tend to use old and outdated stuff as long as it's relevant to their cause.

Oh I heard about that story, and yeesh. Thats going to give everyone a bad name in the furry community. Why does it seem like a lot mental folks or just plain wrong folks try and make themselves into the furry community. I'm just saying, what makes a 40 year old man do something this revolting..?
I think people get the wrong idea bout us because of what the social retards are doing, and that's what makes headlines...

Man, that was just wrong. There are so many ways to bring people like that to justice, but people blame people who use fursonas anyways. Its kinda sad really. Still, like some of the guys said, I don't read much on the hate groups anyways, because I'm sure that everyone here can tell the difference between reality and fiction and would'nt try to compromise their identities and locations.

meh, i heard this story. this dudes prouble does'nt relate to the fact that he's a furry. he would have been messed up anyway you looked at him.

When standing in the forest, one can easily see the trees, but from a distance, one can only see the forest. Being that we are in the furry community, we see that it happens to be a pedophile that just happens to also be a furry. To the outside world, all furries=pedophiles. It is the way we all work, grouping a collective as all the same, rather than individuals. No one has gone off saying that all the people from PA are F^&*ed up in the head, but other people might. Which really pisses me off, being both a furry and a native Pennsylvanian.
