I was bored, and I decided to look through an old scrapbook of sorts. Its the Boyfriend Book, and it lists my old boyfriends, how we met, how much I liked him,how old I was when we dated, and why we broke up.

Here are a few key entries that made me really depessed.

Jose Garcia- Met in Spain. Outside gardening in Mama and Papa's villa, we literally crashed into eachother, him holding a bunch of wood for a bonfre later that night, me with a bunch of gardening tools. We went to the bonfire, and dated for about two years. I loved him very much. I was twelve. We were broken up when he died in a car crash to go buy a gift for me. On my birthday.

Tyler O'Connel- Met in Scotland. Outisde hiking through the highlands, we were on the smae path and became hiking buddies. he asked me out to dinner, I accepted. I liked him, but not as much as others. I was twenty. We had to break up because I eventually went back home.

Acheron Parthenopaus - Old friend. Knew eachother since an early age. We started dating suddenly, he just asked me out of the blue. I was considering marriage to him, I truly loved him. I moved to spain, and he couldn't come with me, despite my begging. Thus ends my best relationship. I am now twenty four.

Of course I'll change it so it says i was twenty four, just as soon as I turn tweny five, but oh well, these make me depressed kind of. Especially Jose.

So, it got me thinking. what were things that made others really sad? So I want to know. I'm a shrink, talk to me.

Chaos: *turns white as a sheet* *left eye bulges and goes bloodshot*

I wouldn't know where to start with talking about my problems in life. I go to a therapy group in real life, so not sure I need to voice it all here as well. :? :P

Since me and my girlfriend broke up 4 years ago I've been single (after such a long time it's like "meh, so what?" for me, even the couples around me don't bother me anymore)

Chaos, as much as you may think something is wrong with you, there really isn't. All we can really do is understand who we are and accept that it's the way we will always be. So, if you feel comfortable and confident in knowing who you are, rejection is just a sign that it just wasn't the one.

It really sounds to me like we have the same problem, self-esteem issues. Self-esteem establishes a self-worth and without taking time to take stock of our strengths and weaknesses, it is easy to find those self-doubts that keep us down.

Try sitting down and think of all the things you do well and not so well and write them down. If you find there is something you don't do well that you really want to do well, then focus on improving at it.

For something that you do well: Humor. You have, by far, the best sense of humor around here.
