Are You looking to hire?
I'm starting has a writter (still unpublished!) and I also work alot with InDesign. You seem to have some fun projects going on; I was just wondering if You had any positions available.

Thanks for your quick reply! 8)

It depends on your work and style if you have something to show. Have you worked on comics scripting before?

Yes actually, my other projects are mainly comic script, altough I don't originally speak english so the specific method may be different.

I have many styles, but recently I have been working on heroic-fantasy/sci-fi hybrids. But I do enjoy the light-hearthed aspect of Vixine.

If You give Me an e-mail I could send You some samples.

But what would You like to know about what I do specifically ?

I think the language barrier might be a bit of a problem. :-)

I'll read over and keep you in mind for potential projects.

We're a little tapped on our budget right now.

I see, time to look for new avenues perharps ? ;)

Also I failed to mention that I also worked on game conception in the past and that my day-job gives Me good knowledge about Author's Rights (You say Copyrights must of the time, but in legal texts it is VERY different from one another). Just mentionning that in case it may be useful.

But let's keep speaking about it, We might find something interesting to do together.

Thank you.

I'll keep that in mind as well, as we will need someday games designers or specifically writers that do story board for quests and dialogues.

In regards to copyrights we prefer to maintain copyrights in the form of work for hire. We do not buy licenses nor pay for licensing fees for copyrights nor 'publish' work for freelancers. We want to retain exclusive rights. This is to be clear so that we do not find the exclusive materials we paid for being distributed by others. Often times, we get artists trying to reuse their work that they tried to submit to another publisher that gets rejected and we find them reselling it around to other websites as well. This is a big no-no for us.

We custom produce our materials exclusively.

If I get paid accordingly I have no problems with that.

Speaking of; what is your current financial structure for the "work-for-hire" ?

It seems to Me that You give X amount of cash for X amount of work.

Ever considered paying a % of the profits the author's specific work is giving You?

We do have special arrangements for special artists and writers. We have different agreements with different parties involved.

The limited % profits share is just an added bonus to give the artists/writers incentive to do continued great work. The profits cease when no further work is being delivered, obviously.

Some writers/artists we work it where the we retain full rights on Internet sales after paid flat compensation, and a % only on every merchadise sales (this would sort of be a royality like structure.)

I see, but I was referring to a "Work in Colaboration" structure. Allowing You to hire people without spending money You don't have.

But I'm open to suggestions what now; the question is: What do You need ?

We are in the mist of making a transition on beefing up our games system- to a profile registration style. More like browser MMO.

More info will be posted in the near future. :-)

That's good. I had some flash game concepts that would be great for hentai, but no one to do them. Also I have MSN if this could help speed up the conversation. (Unless We keep it public.)

Public conversation such as this is fine since it will give others some ideas of what is to come and what's in the works.

Well- right now I'm tapped with a number of projects I'm pushing for Christmas so this is going to be temporarily on hold.

I'd hate to start any new projects and plenty of unfinished ones.

Yes, if You have special projects for Christmas, it's understandable that You are rushed right now.

Still, I am interested in knowing more.

What do You expect in a script ? Any "do's" and "don't's" ?

What if I could invest the time to supervise a project ? (In the sense of having the illustrators, programmers or whatever do the job while giving You constant updates for quality control/approuval, etc.)

I'm just throwing ideas here.
