Actually I think that's a good idea.. The porno edition part... I'm sure it will be a hot seller..... especially if it had various hot models on the cover... like jana cova...

you could make any book a top seller if you included the sub heading 'porno edition' and put yana on the front.

Even 'Turnip Vegatable Weekly' would sell out! :)

Don't worry about it, Jana. You've been doing a pretty good job so far, and it's just nice that you are taking the time to chat with us in the first place. You seem to be getting a good handle on how to use different features of the message board. I've seen that you've made postings using color text, as well as a larger size of font. Looks like you're learning fast, and will be a total pro at using the message board in no time. :)

not quite wildcard....

i've been fixing up all of the bb tags in her postings.... she hasn't quite grasp the concept of bb tags yet.... so if u see it looking bad and then looking good... it's cuz i go in there and fix it up....

i'm still trying to explain to her how to do quoting... hopefully she'll figure it out from my edits... i have confidence that she'll get the hang of it!

but hey- you gotta give her lots of credit for trying... most models can't figure out how to get on the internet- jana's gotten pretty far-- especially the courage to dive into a messageboard....

so good job Jana!!

Only thing I saw that she didn't do quite right was put her response to a posting in the form of a quote. Everything else has seemed to be pretty much okay, aside from some miscellaneous typos. But hey, we all make those so no biggie there. Keep up the great effort Jana.

If I'm not mistaken I believe that means bulletin board tag.

Yes- Wildcard is correct- BBTags are the bulletin board codes (BBcode)...

It is similar to html code... for example [B]text[/B] is for Bolding the text.
Where you put the text you want bold inbetween the [B] [/B].

NOTE: I disabled the BBCode in my post so the open bracket B close bracket shows up. But if I enabled it in my post... It would have bolded the word "text".

*Just a test*

-with a capital B put in the bold text tags:

Jana is much hotness!

Oh ...

I guess I understand what the BBCodes are now. But now I have another questions ... How do you guys make those little boxes where you repeat "quotes" from other posts to comment on?

Ok, this should be better. I have no idea whatever Ron is referring to in his subsequent posts? Poor guy, I think he's been playing too many computer strip-poker games. LOL

I think you're doing something wrong still... to quote somebody you need to hit the quote button by their posting... this will automatically construct a quote... and put the quote bbcode around their text for you.

You can edit their text (delete stuff that you don't think is important and retain only the text you want to quote.).

Then you type your message outside of the close quote tag. a close tag is usually bracket [ and a slash / and a close bracket ]

i'll post examples in my next post and disable the bbcode so it will show up.

This posting has BBCode disabled so that you can see exactly what I am typing inside the text box. If you want to see what this looks like- I suggest you experiment by making a posting. and then you can edit your posting... this way you are not making a bunch test posts... but rather experiment and then construct your final posting by editing the test.

examples:

[i] text [/i] will make the text italic.

[b] text [/b] will make the text bold.

[quote="Ronald"] the text you want to quote here [/quote]

It's working wrong because you started off the italic text with a close italic..

Edit your message and then you will see what you edit wrong.

I fixed it for you Rich... So go "edit" your message and study your code.

you forgot to put [/i] at the end of the word "better"... those buttons at the top of the edit box sometimes do weird things.. they close your tags when you submit... but most of the times they end up putting extra close tags...

Thanks. Heh... Jana's still getting the hang of posting still... Her postings are better now... but she still keeps hitting the quote button right before she hits submit... so you get the weird

"Quote:"

in bold text after her mesg. I ended up just going through and editting all her postings for her.. :-)

hopefully she'll get the hang of it the next round of posting.

Rich, you can see what your posting is going to turn out looking like before you post it by first clicking on Preview at the posting submission page. That way you won't have to go back and edit postings you're uncertain about as to how they'll appear after they've been submitted.
