this is a great page vanessa. I love the details you put into betty and the other girls. I also love the blue belt you have around the skunk it makes her look inasant and shy. I really do like this one great job. :D

Yes, a most excellent and hot page. And very interesting development in the story. I've been wondering if we might see Red give in to the temptations of the castle, or if he'd be able stay faithful to Mary.

Betty is so adorable with long hair :) The long-eared doggy girl wagging her tail gave me a big smile :D

I've been thinking of how Red will handle it as well. Given what Betty said in issue 5, the engagement is broken off two years after the events of this flashback. I first thought that it would eventually be broken off because Simon found out about the letters. But then I also thought that Red wouldn't give in to the temptations of the girls. Perhaps he does eventually tell Mary about what he did, but I wonder if he will really wait two years before doing that. Or perhaps it just takes a long time for Mary to convince her father to break off the engagement. Or perhaps what Red isn't looked upon as being that bad, since he's male, so their parents might not care about him not being a virgin when he gets married. Or perhaps it's something completely else. I'm sure it'll be interesting to find out :P

Ahaha, oh, I'm very sorry Symphony but nothing of these hypothesis is the right one! You can not imagine yet the reason behind the broken of the engagement but you will discover it very very soon!

Hehe, that's good. I'm really looking forward to finding out more about the story and the characters, and I much prefer not being able to correctly guess what is going to happen.

It's really interesting to learn more and more each week, and I'm really enjoying the flashback. :D
Red is becoming a very interesting character, and it's nice to see the contrast of his youth to his more confident and mature personality when he returned to Bon Bon in issue 5.

Betty was pretty concerned about how Mary would react to the news of Betty and Red sleeping together. But I have no idea whether that says more about Betty than Mary.

Perhaps we'll see it in this flashback. It seems that there's so much story that could be told in it, and I wonder how much of issue 6 is going to be dealing with the flashback and Red's history.

And is it just me, or does it seem like with each new page of the comic, you're puzzled by at least one more thing? My list of questions is constantly getting longer. :P
Which is of course a testament to the depth and complexity of the story that Vanessa has created, and it's fun to speculate.

It's in issue 5. Page 16 to be precise.

And I wonder about the connection between Red and William as well. Given Red's character bio, it could very well be much more complicated than simply a matter of money. I'm also looking forward to seeing Red and Mary meet again. I think I've read somewhere that the ball takes place the night before Mary comes to town.
