I don't know how rest of the population of Bonbon fans, but i am happy to see a new male character, specially such handsome one XD From the very fist moment when he appeared he reminded me of one of the greatest film amants in history of cinematography... I mean Clark Gable <3 and specially his role in "Gone with the wind" as Rhett Butler <---cooincidence of name simmilarity? ;) also some appearance features made me suspicious that he really was inspiration for this character XD But that maby just me ;P
name of a good wine too XD
for those who don't know or didn't saw the classic film:

Sounds like trouble if you ask me....
A man who knows many things and is aware of everybody's secrets.....
Hmm.....
It can spell disaster for William.
Then again every love story needs a rival. :-) A love triangle.
Definitely an interesting character to mix up the story for sure! |

| Very likely Ultima. However I too am pleased to see the addition of another male cast member for the female readers. |

Nonono! You are PERFECTLY right! :D :D :D
RED= RHETT, the bordaux is also a dark red color very similar at the scarlet red ( Scarlett O'Hara ) and the wine is involved in the Red occupation :D
Also: the cover of issue 5 is similar at this scene:

The true meaning of the names of the characters of Bon Bon always hint to a color suitable for each character.
Mary Blue is, effectively, blue due to her loneliness and virginity, plus she is a blue cat .
Violet Berry has the violet hue and the sweetness of a raspberry,
Betty (short for Elizabeth, a royal name) Goldblum is rich, stingy and golden-furred.
William Greenback has green eyes and dresses in green, the color of money and of the gambling table, and he's constantly penniless.
Red Bordaux is a red cat and his occupation involved the wine!
Dorian surname is Earl Grain for the color of the fur and his noble origin. Blanche La Noire is a "white and black" skunkette.
Dalila Champagne is the color of the Champagne and is a bartender, and so on.
Scarlett is meaning the blood color ( Blut=blood)
Moreover, the names of the three girls can be associated to flowers, like also Daphne Mallow (purple eyes and hair), Edelweiss ( white and yellow furred)... |

I was starting to have the same thoughts, myself. The man is a classic example of a tall, dark, and handsome stranger in the 19th century. :)
I will also echo the idea it is nice to have a male cast member that isn't gay, old and plump, or William. I will be watching him with great interest. |

I had a feeling on the names, but there were a few I was unaware of. Thank you for shedding some light on the subject Vanessa. ^_^
Yes, Red seem to be quite the hit around here. Just what the ladies have been calling for, yes?
Heh, I happened to notice that not too many of the fellow "gentlemen" around here commented on Red. Perhaps theres a bit of envy, eh?
I'd be lying to say I'm not a bit jealous of the man, but thats because I've always had a thing for Betty. ^_^ |
