Now that I'm officialy a member of PBB, I thought it prudent to say hello to everyone. While lurking, I noticed the exquisite comaraderie amongst everyone and felt the need to join. I just hope my penchant for bad luck doesn't follow me here...

Rather than the previous "song and dance" number, I probably should have done this instead.
I'll tell you a little about myself. My real name is Edward, I'm thirty years of age and live in the U.S. I was, up until a few months ago, a writer of fan fiction. Sadly, I crashed that car and ruined my own parade, so to speak. The community I belonged to was engaged in a forum debate, one for which I allowed a measure of tactless hostility to override good judgement, and I found myself... well... unwelcome. I attempted to distance myself from the situation, but found the falling out had a more profound effect on me than expected.
My muse was dead.
Whenever I tried to write anything it always turned out hostile, sardonic, and worst of all, disrespectful to the source material. Reconciliation proved implausible, so I had little recourse than to pull up stakes, set ablaze my old persona, and set out for newer grounds.
I happened upon PBB simply by mistake, but something kept pulling me back. The unique nature of the site had the possibility of rekindling my inspiration, but new fears and anxieties reared their unpleasant heads.
What if I screw up again?
What use do these folks have for me?
I had no answers... fortunately, the same impulsiveness that doomed me in one community gave me the nudge to join a new one. First impressions are important, so instead of playing a fool like I usually do, I'm coming clean this time.
I realize this little treatise is a bit overdramatic (guilty as charged), ridiculous (you got blackballed for distrusting psychiatrists??) and probably unimportant... but earning new friends requires a first step and this is it.
All that remains now is whether I get chucked out immediately, or if you give me five minutes and THEN chuck me out, lol.
Here's keepin' me fingers crossed. :shock: |

| Well,we all may have our own little "quirks" here.However,one thing that we all have here is "respect" for everyone's opinions and viewpoints.As a writer of furry fiction and a member of other writer's forums,this is a major plus to being here. ;-) |
