So what does everybody else think about Paris Hilton...?

From Google News:
http://news.google.com/nwshp?tab=wn&ncl=1116786008&hl=en

Personally, I think she should be thrown in Jail and serve those 45 days... I mean she's already got the special treatment of going to a 'special' cell holding for 'celebrities'.

Nobody should be above the law, and this sets a terrible example that other actors and actresses will follow...

Basically, its saying its okay for them to be reckless, get drunk and go to parties and drive drunk and reckless.... Driving with a suspended license a few times.... Endanger the lives of others.

I mean especially a supposely airhead driving on the road drunk, could potentially be a threat to anybody's life!!

Anyways- anybody else here agree or disagree on her jail time being shorten or relased from jail?

(Supposely she's getting house arrest, but come on, that is nothing, she gets to sit at home and watch TV and surf the Internet all day long for 40days. Get food delivered to her- if she's not already getting somebody to cook it for her.)

As the saying goes... Do the Crime... Do the Time! (or something like that)

I don't keep up with the news for various reasons so I have no idea, apart from what Mr.Trang here has wrote, on what's going on here but I do believe in the saying Ronald posted, "Do The Crime... Do The Time! (or something like that)" to some extent or the other.

I don't follow the news much either myself... But somethings you can't miss cuz it's plastered all over the media...

Like the Virginia Tech massacre..

Which is a really sad and tragic event. Its troubling to hear about that and how such things can still happen in a society today.

But Paris needs jail time. The law exists for a reason and if it bend the rules for her especially when she pleaded guilty, then that should be enforced.

If she had pleaded not guilty and had some reason or circumstances for why she was driving without a license then -yeah, I can understand. She had to drive her mom or some sick friend somewhere. or she needed to drive from some good reason even though she violated the law but it was for a good reason other then I needed to drive to a party.

Enuf of my rants and rave... :-)

I want to hear other people ranting about this.

Well, she is now being sent to jail to fulfill all 45 days of her sentence... After having her sentence shortened to 26 originally, she somehow was sent back to her home after only three days, supposedly to serve out the rest of her sentence under "house arrest" because of "medical problems".

Personally, if she had had some actual medical problems, I don't see why they wouldn't have just kept her in the hospital wing of the prison (since most prisons have those). It's a moot point anyway, since the judge decided not to buy the bullsh*t and sent her back to jail for the full 45 days.

A concise article can be found here: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601103&sid=a_vwUEGcrNpE&refer=us

A much more "dramatic" article about the courtroom proceedings can be found here:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3iec3cf236aba4b491f8826940e4395c02?imw=Y

I've already started seeing jokes about this on a certain imageboard that shall remain nameless...

I agree.

Paris needs jail time because the law must be equal for everyone.

Unfortunatly in Italy is the exact contrary.

If you commits a crime you'll probably never be punished.

Is very easy to go around the LAWS.

Italy is the country of clevers (l' Italia e' il paese dei furbi)!

No matter whats your life status.Once you do the crime, you'll do the time.

So I'm content that Paris is back in jail.

News update.. Paris now claims that her (short) jailtime has caused her to "grow up", and that she'll stop being such an irresponsible skank and try to become a role model for young girls..

riiiiight...

right.......

she kind of is a role model already........ a really bad one....

i know so many girls that look up to her and just does the same things she does and believe that it is the 'right thing' or the 'right lifestyle'.

its terrible that she sets a bad example for young girls these days.

Supposely, she is just 'acting dumb', which I sometimes give people the benefit of the doubt for the public image they give off....

Quote: She said in the interview, posted on Walters' ABC Web site, that she feels she has a "new chance" and her previous public persona was just an act that she's going to get rid of.

"I used to act dumb. It was an act," Hilton said. "I am 26 years old, and that act is no longer cute."

Hilton told Walters in the interview that she was depressed after her first few days behind bars. She told Walters she wasn't eating or sleeping, and that she felt as if she were "in a cage." She said, "It was a horrible experience."

I am afraid, Mr.Trang, that was a simple joke on my part, symbolizing my disbelief in her statement. I am by no means qualified to conduct a betting system. Apologies to everyone who thought they might make a bit of money.

I'm sure he got the joke, Ashton...

Anyway, maybe this time in jail will actually be good for her... knock her down a few pegs, let her realize what an irresponsible little brat she's been acting like for the past couple years and learn a bit of humility.

Of course, that'll all probably be out the door once she gets out and starts snortin' coke again...

I never doubted he did, Johnny, but that's never stopped me from responding before.

You know. I've been browsing over some pictures of Paris Hilton and she's actually very hot.

Would be fun to have a Strip Poker or Strip Blackjack game with Paris Hilton in it. :P

Of course, I can dream about it.
