Here's a quick demo of what we have to show you....

http://www.vixine.com/adventure_game_demo/

You can see Scyra walking in this demo.

Our next demo will have Scrya walking around a forest.

We're still sorting out the details on the bouncing boobs. :-)

You'll have to ask Federico on that, since he is the animator!

But check out the latest version where we have a new background and testing a few objects visibility test.

Before animating the bouncing boobs, i want to have clear all the animations we'll need, included fighting ones^^

Then, since i have to get rid of the registration mark, i'll add the bouncing boobs to the walk cycle!

On a slightly different topic, when is the sign up for BloodySugar going to go live? I see stuff getting updated over there occasionally.

I'm having a hard time deciding which I want more: QFF game, or a new comic site!

Actually the Bloody Sugar has been updated internally everyday, but I haven't really kept up with posting news about it.

I'm going to go back and just back date the update news to record all the stuff Federico and I did for that site.

Federico is working 3 things right now... Weekly Quest for Fun comic, and Quest for Fun Adventure game graphics, and Bloody Sugar materials.

Bloody Sugar should be launching in about 2 weeks, since we need to submit the site to our billing company for approval. That's the only information I have right now. The Bloody Sugar is just missing the Strip Casino game right now, waiting for Federico to get me graphics for the casino at the moment.

One last thing to comment. Bloody Sugar is going to get a really low low price membership, since it is light on content.

(We're going to offer discounts off the site listed price for Vixine members.)

Remember, Vixine has been around for 5+ years. So the price setting is fine for the content and updates.

BloodySugar is just launching, so the content is not exactly 5 years worth. So it will be a good time to join and keep the rebill price.

Work in progress for the QFF game.
I'm working right now on the background for the first part of the game, a sort of introductive quest.
The setting is the forest outside the amazon village: later i'll add the village itself too, and we'll expand the background adding new areas( and having the players unlocking them)!
Here is the sketch and a work-in-progress screenshot of the map!

Hope you like it!

Hmm, you're right. I think in the final version we'll do that.

Including boobs bouncing as she walks.

Entering our first NPC!

The Amazon Guard will give Scyra her very first task in the game.
And here are the steps for creating her.

First of all, the sketch:

I'm doing all the art for the game in Flash, it's faster than scanning paper-based art and it's easier to "break" the characters if i need.

After the sketch is done, i proceed on refining it:

I did head, torso and legs as separate elements on several layers, for animation purpose.

Animation!

This is my timeline while animating. Since the animation cycle for the NPC is just a simple "standing" one, i have only three keyframe for each layer.

And here the result!

Our Amazon Guard in her breathing cycle, ready for the game! :D

We are aware of the above. But not alot of people use Linux for games.

Adobe is planning to release a new version for that.

In Linux and Unix you could load an emulator for Windows and try to play. Or duel boot.

Shockwave has greater support for games development then Flash. And the next release of Director Shockwave will further support Shockwave as well. By the time, we complete this project the new shockwave will be out.

I don't know well, but I did see much great flash games on the net, and some of these was very complex.

Unfortunately only codeweaver support new versions of shockwave like 10 win32 binary (and not very well), and it isn't free, like a windows license. Adobe support policy for no-M$ OS is patetic: binaries isn't good like the windows one, and there aren't 64bit version if they exist! However this isn't your fault, feel free to use tools that you think they are better. Thanks anyway.

First of all I would like to say "Wow!" about the fact that you're creating a flash game about Quest for fun. In many ways I'm apprehensive about what all you will be able to do with the game given the nature of the comic. Of course it will be wonderful to play each of the girls in turn.

A few things I have noticed though and I'm not sure if these are coding or if you intentionally made it this way for freedom of movement; First of all if you go around the rock it looks less like she's going around a rock and more like Scrya is walking past a piece of paper. Second, I have walked her through every piece of land I can see and I've noticed that at the top where the tree covers a small bit of bushes, you can walk her straight through, it's small but slightly noticable. Finally, when you press on the arrows and try to move Scrya down or up after having her go right or left, there's a stop and you have to press the button again to get her to move.

Other than those three minor things I can't see anything wrong with the game at all. I think it's wonderful to have a chance of really getting a chance to play our favorite characters in Quest for Fun and wonder if this rpg will have the character interaction and possible artwork similar to so many Anime/Hentai Dating Sims and not just walking around defeating your enemies and getting experience points (depending upon how you defeat them) to increase skills and stats.

Either way, I would still love to play!

Yes, there will be character interaction...

But at this early stage of our development, we highly appreciate your feed backs... Comments such as the dating sim game (which I have been researching alot and planning on doing one for BonBon since it is more appropriate to date girls there then in Vixine world) are the types of comments we really love to hear....

We will make it so you can probably visit brothels so you can interact with some of the other characters more close up.... Or when you go to taverns and inns to relax and 'camp' for the night. Which could allow for the type of character interaction you want....

The movement key bugs you describe, I'm aware of, and I've had alot of comments about that... I will be fixing that eventually.

Yes, walking around the rock is like walking around a piece of paper but I sorta want this effect since the game is a 'cartoony' feel. I didn't want it to be too relistic. It actually is thicker then a paper the collision detection. It is possible to change this of course to be thicker.

Yeah the top part, is just because of the collision grid- I didnt program in the collision for the bushes at the top. That can be changed easily.

This is just a demo.... I'm going to put out a new demo soon, with the actual 'starter, newbie training area' that will be in the game.

Again- keep the comments rolling!! I want to hear more.... Good/Bad... or suggestions really. We want some ideas or suggestions, since we're trying to catter this game to the fans!

The new version is up so you can actually move around the various map areas that we've made.
