How fast is your internet????

I was fed up with people telling me that my sound was cutting in and out on my camshows as my upload rate sucked.

This is the results from when i tested how fast my internet was back in January 30th and it sucked ass! :evil:

So i decided to call up my internet company and ask for the best and fastest i could get

How much extra did you have to pay to get that super speed.

Im now on Extreme RoadRunner! Usually costs $54.95 a month but they have a special promo right now that for the 1st 12 months they will give it to you for $44.95 a month, which is only $10 more then what i was paying for Basic RoadRunner, so i decided to go with it :D

I'm not sure my area supports increased speed... It used to be serviced by ComCast.

I'll have to call and find out. TimeWarner just bought out the ComCast members in this area.

Hi Martina and guys,

I checked the time to Amsterdam and the time to LA. Amsterdam was really fast but LA was really slow. Sort of what i expected really cause I have problems with the quality on most camshows.

You should check the time to your closest server then post the results here 8)

When i do mine to London it goes down alot

What sucks ass in the US is way better than the best you can get here in the UK :roll:

Virgin Broadband advertises this as being 7MB ADSL :evil:

I'm already on the fastest package they have - 10MB max but I can only go up to 7MB because of the local exchange. What they don't tell you in any of their ads is the contention ratio. It is probably 50:1 like most of the other ISPs here which would mean if I am connected at "7MB" I could be running at as little as 140KB :evil:
