I don't know how most of you feel about this, but it's been my experience that it's extremely difficult to find a good job out there. It took me a year since graduating college to finally find a real job. I've been working on campus since then and when I was going to school too.
Thankfully, I don't have to worry about that anymore. I found a great job with Lucasfilm Ltd. as a Service Desk Specialist. It's one of those computer help desk positions in the company and yes, Lucasfilm=Star Wars. :D
I just happen to be lucky enough to live within 10 or 15 minutes of the major headquarters for the company. Have to say that I'm thrilled to have found a job like this, and with a great company because I've been turned down more times than I can remember, and from positions that didn't carry nearly as much reputation. I consider myself quite lucky. Though I'm also nervous. Who isn't for a new job? I've sent out so many resumes and cover letters, half from which I never even get responses. This is the first time I've ever been offered a job with a really good company.
I start next week, so I'll let you all know how it's going. That is, if you're interested. |

| Personally, I wouldn't trade my job for any other. Except, if I knew how to program code, for a job with EA's (I'll never get used to that part) Mythic Entertainment. |
