Oh nice. I bet its part of CNN then? Samurai Jack really grew on me over the years, especially during its inception on Toonami goodness knows how many years ago

Not sure if they will post the episodes online but I do know of a great site which will most likely post the episodes.

I'll figure it out. I am just looking forward to see if this is the season that gives a fitting conclusion of Jack vs Aku.

((I'm kinda wondering who they got to replace Mako as the voice of Aku. ))

Though not confirmed, my guess would be Greg Baldwin who was a student of Mako and took over many of Mako's characters and roles after his death including Aku in a video game.

So here are things confirmed and still rumored for the upcoming season.

-It will take places years after season 4 and will be in a different time/location.

-It will be on Adult Swim's Toonami as the storyline and action will be darker and more violent.

-Still rumored is Greg Baldwin taking over as Aku. In an interview, Genndy Tartakovsky remarked that they have found someone who can imitate Mako's voice.

(( Hrm... I'm not sure I like the idea of a grittier and edgier sorts of stories. Samurai Jack was pretty epic without being dark and brooding. ))

This was done because many of the series' younger viewers are now adults and can handle the uptick in violence and darker story. I believe this to be on par with Batman:The Animated Series.

(( Hrm... for me, I'd put B:taS as Film Noir more than darker and edgier.

I'm not saying it would be bad... just... *shrug*, I guess I was more hoping for something more Justice League Unlimited more than "The Killing Joke" or "Dark Phoenix Saga." ))

When is this show set to release? Not that I can really watch it since I work Saturday nights (Most nights in general) which is about the only time Toonami airs.

Alright here's more info that was given at SDCC:

1)The season will be 50 years into the future which will be post-apocalyptic as opposed to dystopian future(Mad Max as opposed to Blade Runner).

2)The Scotsman is returning.

3)Aku now has seven daughters to help him.

4)This will have the definite end Genndy wanted for the show.

5)Is slated to come out in 2017.

6)In keeping with the original series, Jack will ponder and reflect on the killing of a sentient being both before and after a battle.

7)Jack will have armor,a motorcycle, and more weapons than just his katana.

Just as a quick update, Adult Swim will be airing the original series beginning this Saturday at 8:30. Although not officially confirmed, the new season will most likely begin sometime in December. Adult swim will be airing all 52 episodes one episode a week starting the 14th.
