Is it already set what teams will play the superbowl.

Maybe someone can update Martina on the upcoming game and when not to cheer!

The NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles vs. the AFC Champion New England Patriots for the National Football League (NFL) Championship.

(NFC = National Football Conference; AFC = American Football Conference)

The Patriots (aka The Pats) have won two of the last three Super Bowls. The Eagles have not been in a Super Bowl in more than 20 years. The quarterbacks (the guys who pass the ball) are expected to be the stars of the show. New England quarterback Tom Brady was named Most Valuable Player in both his previews Super Bowl appearances, leading New England to victory in both. Philadelphia's Donovan McNabb is only the second African American to start a Super Bowl at quarterback.

The Patriots are favored to win. They won 15 out of 16 games during the regular season.

Wally,

Since you seem to know your stuff, would you give or take the 7 pts the Patriots are favored by. I think New Englad will win, but not sure about the point spread.

I'm not much on betting -- particularly on spreads. But I think it's very possible New England will win by 7 points or more. (What was the spread against Pittsburgh?)

New England was favored by 3 pts against Pitt. I thought the spread was going to be even or N.E. a one-point favorite.

The game should have been closer if the Pittsburgh coach hadn't been so conservative. Everytime Pitt through on first down they did well, but then they reverted back to the running game. Pitt needed to set up their running game with the passing game, but instead they played stupid, plus New England takes advantage of your mistakes

I'm not going to bet on the game. Philly has a good defense and may present problems for New England and it may be only won by a field goal.

i think it is a non-betting game too martinafan.

new england will win but the margin is problematical.
its funny how teams against new england always have reasons/excuses why they should have beaten or got closer to them but didn't...

they are total pro's...totally disciplined...and do what needs to be done.

i should have taken the $4.50 on a superbowl win 3 weeks ago lol

You're about as dumb as fire is cold. You could have said 'be' a dumb blonde, instead of 'act like' a dumb blonde. An important distinction. You're really a brunette anyway, so you can't use that hair coloring as a crutch. At least not with those of us who know better.

That's just proof your genes wouldn't even let you be a dumb blonde. I guess you're just stuck with being smart. Brains AND looks. Man, some people are such lucky duckies.

I had to look them up too at one point. Funny thing is, I learned alot of them from TV. Not from 'educational' programs either. And people say television rots the mind.

When you have a daughter (or son for that matter) you'll probably think the same. It's just a parent's desire to want the best for their child/children, in any capacity.
