Rather than just agitating the water with blunt force, this phenomena also works by introducing metals in the water, such as a coin, or strip of aluminum foil which will act as a catalyst and the ice crystals will begin to form. Distilled water works better since most bottled waters contain slight traces of metals and other substances that could potentially cause this phenomena to not work. Supercooled water is one of the root causes that brought down an Airbus A-340 near Rio De Janeiro early this year. :?: |

| The problem is you're using mobile Youtube. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and in the footer there is a hyperlink to Desktop Youtube, click it and the video should play and in Youtube's regular layout. |

I posted this because I thought it was interesting, but also this goes along with my Aerospace class. As a fun little activity my instructor will give a scenario of a plane crash and we have to figure out what caused it. Then the next day he will show us what actually happened.
If you'd like I can post the link of said crash video, though it approximately an hour and a half video. |
