| it would be so epic if we had our own sever. tobad there wasnt a way to put it up so we didnt need to take up some ones computer. |

Unless you are a tech-nerd, you don't make them. You buy one and hook it up to your internet or rent one. |

ok i got word form the sever owner he said you can join but unless you join the site he owns he wont give you benefets. which are if you see some one greifing your stuff he wont ban them if your not a member. but other then that heres the minecraft sever :D oh also its not required to join the site. but he did say have fun on it :D

rune why dont you join this sever. the only ones ever really on are me my friend and some other guy.
also from what i know is that in order to run the sever you need a computer completly deicated to the sever. |

Not true.
You can run the server from your computer, and simply close it down when you want to turn off your comp. This would mean players would have to wait for the server to be up to be able to play on it.
Or, one could go out and buy an actual server and set it up. It's just a box type thing (that probably costs a pretty penny) and is connected to your PC and internet and so forth. That way you can run a dedicated server while still turning off your computer, as I understand it.
My point is, with the right set-up, one doesn't need to run their computer 24/7 in order to run a dedicated server. |
