Holy shit, what is this?
Forged in God's very flames.
Do mine eyes tell me lies,
A new Elder Scrolls Game?
Time is nigh, I must fly,
Venture forth on my quest.
Goodbye Ma, goodbye Pa
And goodbye Girlfriend's breasts.
I'll be off Azeroth, catch you later Hyrule.
I'll be gone Albion, I'm no longer your fool.
Other crap filled the gap
While I waited to begin...
The adventure of my life
in the land of Skyrim!
Just something from a guy on youtube who was just as excited about Skyrim as myself. Have you guys gotten it? If so, what do you think? I have, and it is the most epic game since Oblivion. I mean, the last one was first game I ever purchased with my first X-box, and it was a great game to start off your xbox experience. |

I'm tempted to get Skrim myself. Based on reviews and friends I know who have played it said its pretty awesome.

It is certainly a lot more impressive then a (unmodded) Oblivion. The game does have some bugs though, and the UI is very obviously console-based but other then that, it's very nice.
I'm still waiting for them to release the mod tools so the community can start working on the mods that saved Oblivion from being so boring. |

As I have no previous history with any of the Elder Scrolls games (my brief encounter with Oblivion not counted as I hardly played it enough to consider having actually 'played' it), I fail to understand the over-hyping it is recieving it.
I can understand being excited, I can understand being trilled, but raising a game to some God-tier is just beyond me. I have seen small pieces of gameplay and I am umimpressed. The graphics look no less amazing than the next modern game. The gameplay looks to be no less impressive than Oblivion or Fallout 3. And if those small dragons are the biggest the game to offer, then I am very disappointed.
And I haven't even looked at the box of the game yet, let alone played it. |

| It is a very good game. In comparison the to the other games, the graphics have been improved since the previous title released, which was Oblivion. The gameplay has improved as well. In the other games, we could not duel wield weapons, or duelcast spells. They went and remained true to the previously existing leveling system, and the fact that the world and environment is as beautiful as they come is a plus. Yes, there are glitches right now. Its hardly going to be ignored though. |

| Essentially, I'm a battlemage who can summon a companion to assist me in battle, while draining enemies souls to charge my magical weapons. |

Yeah I want to so bad but don't have any $$ yet.
A few friends of mine are telling me all the cool stuff you can do like breath fire on people.
Is there a class that leans more towards stealth?? |

Well, my very first character was an assassin type, before I joined the Stormcloaks and came to very much dislike them.
Here is something you should specialize in to help yourself become a good assassin:
1. Sneak. What you want to do is focus on the sections where you are harder to detect, which couples with your actual ability to Sneak around. Having the ability to do so much more damage while using Archery (6x damage) and Daggers (15x damage) makes it all the more lethal.
2. One Handed Swords: For both stand up fighting and Sneaking, having a descent sword and dagger makes the Sneak damage increase exponentially. If you want more defense by having a shield instead of another sword, then match this with Blocking, otherwise, I would go with Blacksmithing for your armor and weapon enhancements.
3. Archery. For always having a long ranged weapon at the ready. Using magic does not have sneak attack bonus, so the bow is the preferred assassin's weapon.
I would focus on just these three. |

| To be honest, other than the powers, it never really mentions anything like that. So I suppose its how you level early on. |

My roommate got it and we've both been playing it on PC. I got a new computer coming, so I can't wait till the mod community sinks it's teeth into it.
It's also nice to see an RPG getting hype that ISN'T World of Warcraft... if I have to listen to one more douchebag scream about Call of Duty I'm gonna freakin' lose it. |

| The game is just a big buggy, and can randomly crash. There's supposed to be a patch coming up in a week or two. |

| It has'nt crashed on me yet, thankfully. But there are still a few issues that still needs to be addressed. Like how you can't jump while sprinting. |

I'm having fun with the daedric quests.
the rewards look amazing, and their voices are awesome, so much more fitting to the fact they are very powerful. |
