Strip Texas Holdem ?

the Holdem game is great so far but why do the models get different sums for the same piece of clothing to buy back in. When they get over $400 for just a top it makes it awfully hard to win anything. I think if it was less you might have a chance of at least getting close to winning. As it is I have yet to get anybody naked but I'll damn sure keep trying

Currently, it's programmed to allow models to strip their clothes and get a buy back in for "half" of the highest person's value.

We are still testing this for balance....

We may change this to be 1/3 of the highest person.
OR
We may change this to be fixed values, (first piece of clothes is worth 100 buy-in, and raising each piece value by 100 from the previous.)

The reason for why we currently have it as (half the highest) is to make sure there is still some 'competition' for the person with the highest amount. Otherwise the person with the highest amount might just bully "all in".

Again, we're still testing the value of each piece they strip.

Previously we had a 'fixed' value which seems to easy... And more towards the later stage the last few pieces of clothes are just too small...

Again, we're going to be tweaking this later... We need a good solid week of play testing to see how long it takes for people to win.

We're keeping track of how long people take to play per game session. Winning/Losing.

I had a situation where Bella Starr had 300+ chips, and then Jana Cova did a buy in for 150+ chips and I was sitting at 14 chips.

Bah!

So yeah-- it became a bit too challenging to get back into the game.

It is possible to still get at least one girl naked, buy just playing cautious. Folding alot and All in only when you got it for sure.

The game balancing at this point really is the 'cost of stripping'.

"How much each piece of clothes is worth for buying back in..."

Currently in version 0.61, we have girls stripping and buying in for half the value of the person with the highest number of chips.

Some suggestions and ideas was to fix the number per piece of clothes, incrementing at a fixed value. For instance, 100 for first piece of clothed strip. 200 for second piece, 300 for third piece, etc... (incrementing by 100).

This could work.

But another idea I'm thinking is take the total number of chips in the game pool. By adding up everybody's chip and then divide by the number of players. For instance, when we first start out.... There are 6 players total (each person has 100 chips). If one person loses all their chips, this means 100 is distributed to the other 5 players... Thus the total size pool is 600. Divide this by 6, which will give you an avg. of what the buy in should be.
So the losing model, would strip and buy in for 100.

Next time somebody strips (loses all their chips) and wants to buy back in... The total chips in play is now at 700. Divide this by 6 gives you 116 (rounded down).

Just a working idea.... Gonna test this later on internally.

The only other idea I have is to have a game option at the start...
"Easy Mode"... (for fixed buy-ins)
"Hard Mode"... (for variable buy-ins based on the highest player)

Version 0.62 is now up... We're going to test to see if this is too easy or just right....

Each stripping is going to be worth 100 chips buy in. (assuming that it meets the requirement for buy in for a No Limit game.)

If the 100 chips is not enough for the case where the big blind has changed, then the buy in will be adjusted to 10*bigblind.

No Limit rules states that the buy-in can't be less then 10 times the big blind amount. And no more then 100 times the big blind amount.

This should make the game alot easier now to beat.

This might be too easy, but that's what we're going to test....

From here... If it is too easy, then we might throw in a rule that gives the girl "half (maybe 1/3) the value of the highest player" ONLY on their last piece of clothes. This will be her last ditched attempt to win.

Seems like setting the chips at 100 per piece of clothes is going to be balanced. Not a problem anymore with that.

We're now tracking down crash bugs related to stripping the girls completely butt naked. If you guys experience problems where the girl is completely naked with a balance of 0 (or even a balance less then the value of the big blind), please take a screen shot and send us the bug report!

There is a known bug related to when one of the model is "butt naked" (no more strip stages left. no more buy in.)

And a 1 on 1 show down scenario with another model.

The game crashes and reports a message saying error in shockwave playback, please report to the author.

We're looking into this bug.

Just wanted to say what a great job on the strip texas holdem game you've done in a short time. A long time ago when I asked you if it was possible you said you would try and now you've done it. You're the only site that I know of that has. The $100 buy back for clothes works great and the game strategy does also, don't know when thet're bluffing or have a good hand so it's a real nice challenge.

I realize this is just the test version so when you get the time to concentrate on the end of the game I hope you can make it to where you can get the girls butt naked and out of the game instead of constantly buying back in but also still be able to tip them. As it is you can't win. Can't wait for the final product and thanks for making it work

Hopefully we will have a new version by the end of this week, with some bug fixes!

Once, we get those bugs fixed, we'll add in the model selection lobby. And possibly an avatar selection box as well.

New version of Strip Texas Hold'em is up! version 0.64 (beta)

There are lots of fixes in this version. The major fixes are the ones are associated to the crashes.

It fixes the crash bug associated to comparing cards when one of the girls are nude.

This should help with continuing the testing...

We're getting closer to a finished product. Any day now, we'll have a model selection... But for now, we need to test the end game functionalities.... Fully stripping all the girls. Stripping some of the girls, and tipping them, and seeing what they do with the money.

I was just testing it and amazed at what the models were doing....

I had 9Diamonds and 3Clubs... Nothing great.

Jamie Lynn calls the bet (big blind)...

Haven't had any bug reports on it so far compared to the other versions before....

The latest version is definitely a winner. Now that you can get a player out but still have the option to tip them and let them back in for a $100 works out great. I finally won a game. It took a while but I tipped a few times to get a player back in to see how it would work. On a scale of 1-10 I'd say so far the game is a 10. Keep up the good work

You managed to actually beat all 5??? Insane.

I've been testing it alot.... I haven't come close to beating all 5 yet...

(Internally, I've enabled cheating for myself just to test the end game stuff.)

In terms of play balance, the game works as I want it.... So long as 3 of the girls can be easily stripped, we've accomplished a fun game... stripping 4 and 5 girls is the extra challenge for those who really are the ubber poker players...

We've been discussing, a high score system later on... (once we finish our high score backend submission system.) We're thinking of assigning scores for losing players and winning players... Based on how many pieces of clothes you've managed to earn. And for those who are 'tied' we'll sort by time on the leader board. It's a working idea right now...

Once again congradulations on a great game. It seems the 3 players I picked were easier to knock out than the 2 random players. One of the gals I picked was Raven Mistt and after she was totally naked she still bought back in 3 more times without tipping her. I finished with $3500 and I know on the previous version if you knocked out all 5 your total was $3100 so I was just curious why she got back in.
As far as the high scores you've mentioned earlier I don't know how well that would work. I've won the game 3 times now, twice on the test version and once on the finished one and the only way to increase your score is by tipping. On the test version I tipped Jana and she built up her money to almost $900 and it took awhile to get her back down to 0. On the time limit for ties when I won the final version I had other things to do so I would leave the game and then come back to it and it took awhile so you would be required to stick with it.
In all the game is great but its killing me on trying to keep up my standing in the strip casino.

Well in the previous version you were playing against 5 girls all with the same number of clothes pieces...

The new version lets you choose any model, and each model has variable number of clothes to take off. Thus, the buy in total at the end when you win everybody's money, may be higher or lower....

Hope that makes sense.
