There are really too many to start counting them. It's possible to do such a list for the Royal members, but extremely difficult to include every character that has appeared in the comic.

I've created my Avatar as a Falcon, as there are less birds in PBB.

I like your choice of species.

It's a bit funny though, how avians are still considered so rare in Bon Bon. I know I do it too. There are three named characters by Vanessa, one Royal member avatar, at least two male ducks, and one white female chicken.

Consider something like bovines, for example. No one ever picks those. I'd still love to see Vanessa draw a male or female bovine in the comic. okay, there's one already, but it's in the background, and you don't really see it clearly.

Yeah, that Giraffe reminds me of Wally, a ventriloquist doll belonging to George in the TV series, Arthur.

In the Four Aces suite there are:

1 bear
1 ferret
1 otter
1 badger
1 deer
1 coyote
1 cougar
1 panther
1 owl
1 cobra
1 flying fox
1 vampire bat
1 snow leopard
1 kangaroo
1 platypus
2 lions
2 skunks
2 wolverines
2 equines
3 tigers
3 dogs
6 cats
6 foxes
6 wolves

I've chosen to list all the various housecats together, as well as the dogs. I know that they can be divided into several different races, but I generally consider them too similar for it to matter.

As you can see, the largest groups are the felines(14) and the canids(16). There are five mustelids, not counting the two skunks.

When my Avatar is created, she will be the first Raptor in Bon Bon, and would make Birds 2 instead of 1.

Yes, I was just doing the list rather quickly. Gantros I just listed as a vampire bat, because I couldn't remember exactly which other species was included in the mix, and because the vampire bat is the one I associate with him.

Fruit bats and flying foxes are the same, however, so I didn't really give much thought to it. Brian is referred to as both, and a flying fox is something I can picture, while the fruit bat name gives me a whole other mental image. :)

What really strikes me as odd, though, is how few male avatars actually have a unique color scheme. I give credit to Henk on the species choice, but overall you look at the numerous male avatars and you only see about 3 with an unusual coloring to the fur.

Oh, I was really talking more about those in the Four Aces Suite. Aside from myself, I was referring to Tadelesh and Sha'Kaar/Bittenhard. The reason the latter are grouped together is while the coloring is unique, it could still be mistaken for the species' color.

I know that Rune also has a fairly unique look, but is still waiting for his avatar to be completed. I just thought it was interesting that with all the avatars in the gallery, there aren't a whole lot that are overly customized, or at least amongst the men.

I keep up with the board, I just rarely have much to say. Guess I'm the quiet type.

I don't want to pull this too off topic, but OOC I suppose I could add that I'm quite enjoying a Shiner Bock Black Lager right now.

This reminds me of an old topic about natural colors and unnatural colors for fur, and what people prefer.

It's me experience that foxes are quite often given a fur color that's not natural, and the majority of tigers in this little community appear to be either white or black.
