Sorry guys if I have not posted as much as I usually do. Recently I found out from my last semester that I'm academic suspension for the time being, and that i have to re-admit myself at the college. I don't know if I will be going to take classes this fall. When I looked at my Financial aid report earlier this week, I thought maybe that it meant when I saw 'Suspension Completion Rate as of Fall 2011'.
I have to go readmit myself tomorrow, but I fear that I may not be able to go to classes the following semester. I don't understand why I'm suspsended. I barely made the 2.2 GPA cut, but it also does'nt surprise me since I got sick alot this semester. I failed nearly all my classes, so that maybe the reason why. It did'nt help that the classes were extremely difficult because I was just introduced into the electronics world, and that i had to take several at once. Thank goodness I'm changing my degree plan.
What troubles me is that its just as difficult to get a job as well, so I have nothing to financially back me up if I do have to go a whole semester because the military pays me to go to school. I've been searching for a job since March, and nearly nobody seems to be hiring these days. because my last job shut down in February so it goes even worse for me now. |

((Hey Rune174,
I don't do condolance and cheer-up sorts of posts well. So... hopefully the intent of this post will get across, despite my... lack of charisma.
So what? You did poorly this semester. You know what you did? You completed another semester. What's happened, has happened. College isn't for the weak. But you know what it is for? Those who can endure. As dumb as this sounds, "Barely staying afloat" still means you're in the game.
I graduated with an ever unimpressive 2.8 CGPA. My first two years of school flat out kicked me in the teeth, but I refused to give up. I refused to transfer to some place like U of Pitt.
Just go, reapply, and kick that next semester in the teeth. You finished last semester. Go and finish this next one.)) |

Caroline...... thank you, and that goes for everybody else who has supported me.
I can only endure and keep going till I find a degree that I can find my niche in. Computers are not it, but if it means I still have a chance, then damn it I will take it. |

| Yeah, I was a bit overwhelmed. Its just it felt like my back was to the wall. Finding a job here is very competetive so I have to show alot of face time with the various employers so I can give a better chance at getting hired, hence why I don't post quite as often as I did in the past month. |

| Well... some good news. I'm not on academic suspension. I was simply looking at the status of one of my old academic probation periods by accident. What I did have to do is change my degree plan, which I finished yesterday, but also I had to appeal for the financial aid suspension. That in part is my fault since during the fall semester, I got dropped from half my courses, which were over the interenet. Although I got approved for the fall, I did'nt get my financial aid till after the first week of October, which is during halfway through the second month of the semester. Although I got dropped from one class during the spring, if I had not been dropped in the previous semester, I would not be facing the situation I am currently challenged with. I will be putting in the appeal in less than 7 hours, so hopefully I will be cleared before the semester starts, which is in 2 months. |

| So is it partly financial aids fault being late for the start of this? |

| Pretty much. I had to pay out of pocket to get the classes paid for since I knew I would be reimbursed. That meant I had no money to buy my books. Since I had no books, I could not participate on the internet classes, which needed the books to proceed. Because I could not participate, I had to wait to get paid. After the second month, I got dropped as a result because shortly after getting dropped I finally got paid. |

| good job getting back on track so quickly, that kind of stuff can really hit you when you least expect it, and it can be a real burden getting it straightened out |

| Yeah, its really a shame that it had to come to this, when its their fault for not being so prompt. |

| Well guys, the day finally arrived. I have looked at my financial aid. After waiting nearly 2 months, I got word that I was approved for financial aid. 2 months of fighting with the appeal board, getting testimonies from the professors I was dropped from, taking statements from fellow students I took the classes with, and it all paid off. I feel so relieved now/ |

Alright, now I am completely set for the semester. I just got registered for the Fall, so now all I have to do is just turn in a few bits of paperwork at the office on monday and I can enjoy the rest of the summer worry-free.
Texas Government
Introduction to Ethics
Humanities
English- Anglo saxon
I would have taken the ENGL class I failed, but either all the classes were full or it clashed with the schedule I had for the other classes. The same applied to the Geology class too, but I had about 2 free classes to do this, and the ENGL also fits into the Additional Humanities category, so it all fit into place. |

| Everything is done and I can rest easy. I just visited the school this morning and had the people at the VA office in school look my paperwork over. They had to do a personal check themselves on the classes I still need, not that they don't trust me, but it was a simple check for them. Now I am a full time status student in the eyes of VA and the Financial Aid. Now I just have to keep an eye on my classes in case they drop before the semester begins. Its happened before. |

| Well, its no good if the classes drop. Some classes don't 'make' since there are times when not enough students join the class in question. |
