| im tihnking of making a new character but im not sure what i should pick. im jsut asking for a list of animals not for votes. because when it's a voting rp not that many people post in it.ill probable edit it in a bit for it to be more like a poll though.so jsut list species and charecteristics to help. |

Tasmanian Tiger.
Now extinct, however there are rumors there may be some still alive in the more in-accessible regions of Tasmania. |

The Tasmanian Tiger is a marsupial, unlike the Dingo, which it is believed came to Australia with the Aboriginals.

while it resembles a dog and filled the same ecological niche as wolves and dogs it was not a Candid. It was a unique animal its closest living relative being the Tasmanian Devil. |

Weeeeeell. Mebbe a lovely and completely existant (and literate) hyena?
Or a manta ray? (I have one. She's adorable).
A raccoon.
An otter.
Hell, look in just about any animal encyclopedia, and flip it to a random page. See what you like. Try it on for size. |

|
|
Bit of history for you initial - C was invented within the 70s by Dennis Ritchie, by the 80s it had grow to be quite preferred and a book (known as the C programming language) was published by Ritchie and Kernighan which acted as an informal standard (known as K&R C.) Throughout the 80s ANSI were working towards a formal standard, which appeared in 1989 called C89. Some finetuning was done in 1990 and a new standard, C90 was published.
All good - until 1999, when another version of the standard was published, called C99. Why is this a problem? Well whilst compilers implement C90, none implement the whole of the C99 standard. You, may be thinking that C99 isn't all that important then - wrong, C99 allows us to do things such as declare variables throughout the code and use the C++ (//) style comment... but whilst many compilers do support these, none promise to support all aspects of the standard. I have often wondered why.
As an aside, there is some work towards a new standard, not sure if/when it will be released though - its informally called "C1x" |

|
| I will add - if you need any aid implementing what ever data structure you choose in C, then just give me a shout. Many people learn datastructures on an OO language, and can find it difficult to make the transition into an imperative language. |
