Support Thread for Cherry Blossom Tears the RPG

In this thread questions concerning rulings or posts by players can be discussed along with other concerns about the game.
I would prefer it if this thread was keep for that purpose only, in order to keep confusion to a minimum. Thank you. :D

The rules and posting list will be available here and a link provided in my signature for quick and easy reference for the players.

For those unfamiliar with my version of role playing I will try to explain it.
The game is more akin to a story, each player taking turns to tell their part of the story, reacting and responding to the other players posts and my own narrative. For example I may open the game with:

The smells, sounds and lights of Shanghi assaulted Tearlach's senses as the driver opened the car door and stepped out on to the bustling street.

The next player may respond thus:

Seeing the middle aged fox alighting from the Rolls Royce (Characters-name) moved forward pushing aside a street peddler trying to sell him(her) a live chicken. " Excuse me Sir! May I have a word!"

Rather then: *Walks up to Tearlach* and says " Hello"

With a more narrative style the game is lifted past the usual rp game on the forum and enhances the experience fo all involved.

The game unfolds in this manner. I ( Tearlach) Am the game master or GM. I will be providing the basic story line or narrative, describing the players surroundings and the like. I will also in-addition to playing Tearlach, Ganya and Beibhinn, be playing the Non Player Characters or NPC's.
As in the example above the players add their own narration and move the story along. I as the Game master will steer the whole story towards the conclusion.

The rules for the Cherry Blossom tears RPG are simple.

Here are the rules:

1) Everyone (except Tearlach) will post by the list order (If need be I may be able to make adjustments to the list; just ask if you have a problem with it). I will make 2 new lists once we break into teams that will be even more detailed and specific to each team.

2) There will be a time limit for posting (max 24 hours then the turn is forfeit). To be more specific what this one means here is an example: Tearlach makes his post at 8:30 PM and I am next on the list. I have until 8:30PM the next day to make my post and if I don't it just goes to the next person on the list and the clock starts over for them.

3) no one may take someone's turn for them or move someone else's character involuntarily (no playing puppet master)

4) 3 strike violation policy and then removal from the game upon the forth

5) Anyone can pass up their turn whenever they want I just ask that they be kind enough to post that they're not taking their turn so we don't have to wait 24 hours for the next post (This one isn't so much a rule as it is a request)

There is a posting list. The players will be listed in order of character posting, like so:

Thorne posted his character on the Sakura tears thread first so he is top of the list. Katmir posted his intention next and he is second in the list. ECT.

I will wait for any interested in playing the game to post their character details in the character thread before making the list available here.

In addition I would like to point out that this game will be in the style of "Indiana Jones" movies and the like. No excessive violence or sex. Plenty of good humour and adventure. thank you.

SYNOPSIS:

Manchuria. 18th September 1931
A section of railway track owned by the Japanese Southern Manchuria Railway company is dynamited and destroyed.The Japanese Imperial Army blame Chinese dissidents and invade the province of Manchuria. Using further "incidents" the Japanese armed forces push further in to the province routing the local government and army, eventually renaming the region Manchkuo.


1934
Three years after the Japanese invasion of Manchuria, China is in chaos. The ruling government is weak and ineffectual, the national army is fighting a losing battle as they fall back before the invaders assault and the Japanese air force bomb and strafe the towns and cities with impunity.
Crime Lords rule where they wish and fight amongst themselves for more territory and power. The general population are frightened and helpless, living and dying at the whim of the forces in control.

It is into this anarchy, confusion and tragedy that the players come.
Some seek adventure, some revenge, others...only they know. But come they do and perhaps some will shed...Cherry Blossom Tears.

Mr. T.... heh... I have an idea for an intro, but I'd like to mention four big monsters in it for theoretical giggles: Cthulhu, Fin Fang Foom, Gojira, and Jörmungandr, suggesting there may be a fifth. This is intended for the mere purpose of my fursona having a method to his madness. BUT, if this is going to be distruptive, then I'll just keep it at Lovecraft.

I am afraid that this is the official introduction and that I feel too many "overwhelming" supernatural creatures would be detrimental to the story.
Best to keep it to a minimum to make their appearance all the more exciting.

I am going to wait until Saturday night (GMT) to allow any other players to join ( Some hope :evil: ) and then I will start the game.

If none of the players have any objections then Furrynerd can join at the same time.

It would seem that one or more of the players are having difficulty in beginning a intro to the game for their characters.
Would it help if I have those players become friends/acquaintances/employees, your choice, of Tearlach. He would be calling on them to help him and basically to bring their character in to the game?

He would be in disguise, trying to hide his unnatural appearance.

@ Evan there is a posting order and Thorne is first and you are second.
As you have already posted I cannot ask you to remove it. However this will count as a first strike, two more and you may be asked to leave the game. That is in the rules.

May I suggest that your character is in the city seeking a solution/cure for his condition and he has heard that some one there can help him?

Mwaha! I'm jumping in if you don't mind. Been awhile since I've been on here, but May got me back on...I posted a character story not realizing there was this thread so...yea...sorry for jumping the gun on that..

I have an intro that is like one from "The Librarian" series. (I like those.) But if you'd rather I not do that, I will put my fursona in Shanghai right away. Please let me know so I can type it up faster, heh.

Lol, Katmir, I couldn't help it. I've found an interest in Greek Mythology recently and I've even used it to explain the wierd things going on in the world right now (Birds and fish dying unexplained, freak storms everywhere)

Kinda Pagan right now I suppose..xD
