A Lovely Way To Meet (Bane & May)

(Bleh, I couldn't think of a good title :/)

Alex had been pretty angry on that monday morning. He shop was closed for Christmas break, and he was bored, cold, and guitarless. Walking around and staring the now frozen lake in the park, Alex watched as some of the other furs, couples and alike, were having fun sliding on the ice. Alex sighed and sat down on a snowy bench. There he just watched the others.

Rhoda was walking over to the lake just to get out of the house. She couldn't find her skates and so was stuck to the land as she finally reached the lake. It was a true winter wonderland. She looked around and after noticing a bench with one fur already on it, the lioness skipped over and dusted the snow off the seat before sitting down and watching the other furs on the ice.

At the sudden appearance of another fur, Alex simply looked on ahead at the skaters.

But out of curiosity, he decided to look at whom had the misfortune to sit by him today. Looking over, he was a bit taken back to see a beautiful lioness sitting next to him.

Raising his eyebrows a bit, Alex dusted a bit of snow off his new black coat as a quick disguise of his actual intention, checking out the newcomer. She had a lovely body, and Alex could not help but find his tension leaving him as he looked.

Smiling a bit, he again directed hus attention torwards the skaters.

Rhoda looked out towards the skaters and smiles although cursing herself on the inside for losing the skates. She just tossed the scarf draped over her shoulders around her neck and smiled.

(Damn it, I gotta make the first move...typical XD)

Alex let out a soft sigh. "Eh...I guess its up to me." Alex thought.

Turning to look at her, Alex, although fighting his bad mood, put on a smile. Looking at her, he said, "Lovely day, don't you think? I would like to go skating myself, but, I don't own any skates..."

Rhoda looked over at the fur and smiled "Yeah it is isn't it? I have skates but I can't seem to find them." she said with a shrug.

"Yea well, at least your not alone on that one. Alexander Sinclair at your service, Miss...?" He said, extending a hand.

[Mayfield]

"Rhoda Mayfield. It's nice to meet you Alexander." she said with a warm and friendly smile as she reached out and shoot the panther's hand.

"Glad to meet you Rhoda. I'm not too aquanted with many people here in Bon Bon, I just only opened shop a couple months ago" He said to her.

"Have you seen it by chance? The World of Music?" He asked.

[Mayfield]

Rhoda scratched her head and thought "I might have passed by it once or twice. But I don't remember going in at all." she said remembering where said store was located.

"Eh, its not a packed place, really. I mean I've got a few regulars like Mr Longstreet...hell I owe that man alot..." He replied.

Alex sighed and stared at snow. "So tell me Rhoda. How is your life here in Bon Bon? I mean, does it meet to your expectations...if you had any?" He inquired, obvious depression in his voice.

[Mayfield]

"Oh, Dorian." Rhoda said with a small almost daydreaming like smile before continuing "It's been good and yes, it's met every expectation I've had. And what about you?" she asked a little curious about the sudden sadness in the panther's voice.

Clearing his throat, Alex continued. "It's been quite good actually...Ive made lots of money, a few friends, and lost my...erm, my...uh, youth, too." He stammered a bit at the end.

Then realizing his tone was sad, he said, "Also, if your wondering why I seem so depressed, I've had a boring, uneventful day. I honestly wouldnt mind going skating, if I had a pair..."

[Mayfield]

"Yeah, same here. I was also a virgin when I arrived." Rhoda said with a wink before continuing "Yeah, so would I if I could find mine."

Alex gave a chuckle and a smile. "You know already then..." He told her.

Then, he suddenly clapped his hands on his knees and stood up.

"Very well Ms. Mayfield, I'm convinced we can get along. Why dont we go buy a pair of skates? I'll buy but..,you'll have to lead" He told her, his mood brightening.

[Mayfield]

"Why thank you Alex." Rhoda said standing up.

[Wolfbane007]

"My pleasure." He said, bowing a bit.

"Lead on, if you may" He kindly said.

[Mayfield]

"Alright. I know this one clothing store that sells them." Rhoda said before walking towards the direction of the store.

"Very nice" He said and followed her.

(Hm...what would make this more interesting...?)

Rhoda smiled and led Alex through the winter wonderland along the streets of Bon Bon. They passed many familiar shops and stores before finally reaching the shop that sold skates "Here we are." the lioness said stopping in front of the shop.

(Ha...True. Ill cross off man eating crocodiles, then...)

"Brilliant!" Said Alex. He opened the door for her and motioned that she go first.

[Mayfield]

"Thank you." Rhoda said with a warm smile as she stepped into the store and out of the cold. Stomping her feet on the mat before continuing into the store, waiting for Alex at the enterance.

Walking in behing her, Alex walked up to the counter. Taking out a nicely sized bag of money, he stopped.

Turning to Rhoda, he said, "Um Rhoda, what size shoe are you?"

[Mayfield]

Rhoda shrugged "Size 9 women's I believe." she said trying to remember her size.

"Right" He said. Turning back to the counter, he bought a size 9 womens for her, and a size 12 men for himself. Then coming back, he handed her the skates.

"Ready to go, my lady?"

(You know what they say about big feet?)

Rhoda took her skates and smiled at Alex "Ready when you are." she said waiting at the door, holding it open.

Alex smiled back and walked out the door, then he turned back and held it open for Rhoda. After she walked out, they made their way to the lake.

Rhoda walked with Alex back to the lake.
