Sorry I have not been very active for quite sometime,I have been unemployed since July.My previous worked screwed me over so I can;t get unemployment,I had to cash out my 401k just to survive, and now this is gone to.I have been trying so very hard to find work, and that, coupled with the severe stress and depression that go with it,it the reason why I have not been active.
I'm hoping to hear some good news very soon,if not,its been a pleasure to know you all,and I will miss you dearly.
Hope to see you soon,
Jess |

Goodluck. Hope you can find a new job soon.
On a semi related note... Just what exactly is a 401K? I've heard of it, but have no idea what it is. |

Probably the only thing you can depend on after retirement these days. |

Probably the only thing you can depend on after retirement these days. Thank you. That was very informative. I shall now go forth into the world with this wealth of knowledge, secure in the belief that such extensive information will some day benefit myself and those around me. |

401k is a tax-sheltered investment program in the US aimed at providing retirement income. Other countries don't use that term, as it's the name given by the IRS, though they often have similar programs. They are not a guarantee either - you need to track it carefully and keep a diversified portfolio.
Toonaxe, sorry things went so downhill for you. :( Hope they smooth out soon. |

Toonaxe, sorry things went so downhill for you. :( Hope they smooth out soon. Basically a long term savings fund for when you retire. Yes? |

| Hang in there Toonaxe things will eventually work themselves out just be patient keep trying and sometimes look back at what you did what worked what did'nt and go from there. I've had to collect bottles when I first started out makeing $3.80 Hr and haveing an Apt to pay for. Basically Sally Ann (Salvation Army) was my Walmart of the day. and the 59 cent 2 day old bread with Peanut butter and home made jam my main diet lol. Hang in there no matter how rough it gets keep a good head and you'll get out alive and maybe more so. Best wishes to you Toonaxe hope to keep hearing from you. |
