Sparing session. (Open RP.)

[Silvador]

Shane stood in the middle of nowhere. Almost. He was near the edge of BonBon where few people went. A small path lead passed the area a few hundred feet away. All around the Arctic Wolf, in every direction for hundreds of feet, was flat ground covered with fresh, short grass.

Shane was deep in concentration, focusing his senses to pick up the slightest hint of movement around him. Every move the air made he felt, every sound, even far away, he heard. His cane in hand, the wolf began to run through fluid motions he had learned years ago, and practised regularly. His cane was an extension of himself. It moved through the air unhindered. Most of his motions were slow, gentle, but occasionally, the wolf would move in an unexpected direction with blinsing speed and accuracy.

[Wolf Stride]

Wolf was seen walking down the path out of town, a large black duffel bag slung across his shoulder. One of his gloves were off as he began fiddling with his 8-inch knife, feeling his claws across it's sharpened edge and looking down the filled grip. Each time his claws felt down it's gleaming, jet black blade, it would make a slight squeaking sound from sharpened nail scratching it's blade.

[Silvador]

Shane's ear twitched at the high pitched squeaking, but he paid it no mind. He continued with his exercises.

[Wolf Stride]

Wolf continued on his own, walking down the beaten path and enjoying the gentle breeze that soothed on by. Wolf continued wary of his surroundings as he continued to seemingly 'toy' with his weapon of choice and continued to walk down the path. Finally the sound of air whizzing in a different direction made one of Wolf's ears twitch. Letting the sight of his knife for a few seconds, he looked foward down the road to see Shane at a distance.

'Shane? What would he be doing around here?'

As Wolf focused his eyesight in the distance, he could see the Artic Wolf moving his cane in steaady motions across the breeze.

'He must be training.'[/i]

[Silvador]

Shane continued, his motions fluid and graceful. It wasn't long before the wolf's nose picked up a familiar scent on the breeze, though it was faint, indiating that it's source was still a distance away.

Smiling to himself, Shane never missed the rythm of his movements. Finally, he finished up, his cane coming to rest at his side as though it were a sheathed sword. Speaking in a loud clear voice that carried easily over the open air, Shaned greeted Wolf.

"Good day, Wolf. What brings you all the way out here?" Shane never turned around though. He remained where he stood, facing off in no particular direction, his eyes, as usyal, closed.

[Wolf Stride]

Wolf began walking on his own road once more, when Shane's voice greeted him from a distance. On cue, the wolf in black turned his face to greet the Artic Wolf, who's back was turned to him. He raised his hand as the urge to wave to Shane came to mind, but he was quickly reminded that Shane was blind and thus lowered the hand.

"Oh hello, Shane. I was going out of town to run some errands. You?"

He asked with a heightened tone as he began walking towards the blind wolf.

"I'm just doing some exercise. Keeping the senses sharp and the skills quick." Shane turned to face Wolf now, having heard his voice he knew the direction to face.

[Wolf Stride]

"Ah. Can't be getting rusty nowadays."

Wolf slowly arrived at the clearing Shane was in and slowly placed his duffel bag on the grass and sheathed his knife in it's hidden compartment where it belonged in his jacket.

[Silvador]

"Especially when you depends on those skills to get around every day," Shane said with a smile.

[Wolf Stride]

"I see."

Wolf only eyed the Artic Wolf from head to toe, another gentle breeze blowing around the grass and such. Wolf looked about some more, before turning to Shane.

"Seems like I have a ton of spare time. Mind if I spar with you a bit?"

[Silvador]

Shane's head turned a little to the side. After a moment, he spoke.

"If you'd like. I must admit, I've missed having someone to spar with. Rules?"

[Wolf Stride]

"Rules? Hmm.....I asked, so it should be fair that you choose."

Wolf nodded as he turned to his duffel bag, opening and digging within it's unseen, rustling contents.

[Silvador]

"Do you consider yourself substantially skilled with a blade?" Shaned asked with interest.

[Wolf Stride]

"Short ones and Knives, no more."

Wolf continued searching into his black duffel bag.

[Silvador]

Shane frowned a little.

"Let's start off easy and see how things go from there," the wolf said.

[Wolf Stride]

"Understood."

The rustling shortly stopped and two blunt blades were slowly pulled out of the large Duffel Bag. They weren't long enough to be considered swords, but were long to be considered the such.

"You know how to handle yourself with one of these?"

One of them was roughly the size of Shane's cane.

[Silvador]

Shane smiled and lifted his cane. Slowly, as he pulled, the end of his cane came off. The end of the cane was a handle to a long Katana hidden inside the blind wolf's cane. Shane only pulled it out half way to give Wolf his answer before returning the extremely sharp blade back into it's 'scabbard'.

[Wolf Stride]

A raised eyebrow and more rustling later answered the blind Wolf aas Wolf took hold of the two blunt blades and held them down.

"Do you prefer training weaponry or your own?"

[Silvador]

"I think you would prefer training weaponry. If I used this weapon and you moved in an unexpected direction... you may never hold a weapon again," Shane turned and walked about thirty feet away, placed his cane on the ground, then returned to Wolf and held out his hand to take one of the blunted weapons.

[Wolf Stride]

The gray wolf only nodded and tossed him one of the lightweight blunt blades.

"That good, huh? Guess I will have to test you for myself."

[Silvador]

Shane caught the sword by the handle. After a few expert swings to test it's feel, he held it by his side as if it were sheathed.

"I'm ready when you are."

[Wolf Stride]

Wolf's blunted weapon was slightly shorter than Shane's, but he was more accoustomed to shorter weapons instead of the overbearingly large size of long swords and claymores.

"Good. You may take the first swing then."

[Silvador]

Shane stood for a few moments, focusing his senses. He felt the air shfting as the wind blew around them. Sizing up his openent, Shane considered his moves quickly then acted. The motion was fast, startlingly fast. As if pulling the blade from it's scabbard, Shane pulled it from his side and swung it in a small arch across his front to his right from the left, aiming for Wolf's lower chest.

[Wolf Stride]

Shane's move was quick. TOO quick for a reaction. The only move Wolf could do to retaliate is to pull back, barely dodging the edgeless blade used for training. Quickly, he reeled foward and sent a slash diagonally from right to left in his direction, not aiming for any part of his body in specifics.

[Silvador]

When Shane's blade found nothing but air, he knew his opponent had withdrawn. Quickly, he stepped to his right, moving forward at the same time. As he felt the air currents shift to his lift and above, he knew where Wolf's blade was. Ducking, Shane turned the weapon over in his hand and swung it back, aiming for Wolf's exposed left side.

[Wolf Stride]

With a quick turn, metal struck metal in a loud ring as Wolf's slash had failed. With a quick turn all around, he brought his short sword around his side, yet couldn't deflect the entire blade as the tip of it's long pole poked at his suit. If it was edged, it would have undoubtedly cut into his jacket and even skin. With a quick push of Shane's weapon, Wolf aattempted to parry his attack.

When Shane's blade hit Wolf's, the wolf stepped back a couple of steps, returning his weapon to his side once more and waited.

[Wolf Stride]

As Shane's weapon left his, Wolf rushed foward once more, taking afoward thrust with his pointless sword, towards the Artic Wolf.

[Silvador]

Every movement Wolf made sent ripples through the air. Each step he took vibrated through the ground. Even minor grunts as he thrust his sword forward, grunts Shane's opponent wouldn't be aware of because they came from his breathe as he chnaged his posture, all betrayed Wolf's position and actions. Quickly standing aside to his left, Shane slashed with his sword the same way he had begun, this time, Wolf wasn't his target. Holding his blade vertically, Shane's blade connected with Wolf's, driving it sideways.

[Wolf Stride]

The connection of metal with metal sent some more loud noises to echo through the air. Of course, Wolf only breathed normally and such, taking this as only practice more than anything. When his sword went sideways, it sent an uncomfortable tingle across the hilt and made Wolf let go, sending the edgeless sheet of metal flying towards the grass. Even if this was a spar, Wolf quickly rolled to his side in an attempt to regain his blade.
